An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Governance Officer to join the Wattle Range Council team.
Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, a vacancy for a part time Governance Officer in a job share capacity has arisen. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Director Corporate Services and the Executive Leadership Team in the maintenance of high standards of legislative compliance and excellence in governance.
Key accountabilities of the role include monitoring and oversight of Council’s policies, procedures, guidelines and codes; compliance with legislation applicable to Local Government including delegations and authorisations; providing advice on governance programs and frameworks; and support to the customer service/administration team. The position will also be one of Council’s designated Freedom of Information Officers.
This 24 month part time contract position will job share with the current incumbent and is offered for the following working hours;
Monday 8.30am – 5.00pm
Tuesday 8.30am – 5.00pm
Friday 10.30am – 2.30pm
An attractive pro-rata remuneration package in the range of $36,500 per annum plus superannuation will be provided.
