The Beachport Market Day & Duck Race
Usually held the first Saturday in January in the Coastal town of Beachport.
Market starting at 9.00am -2.00pm and the Duck race following at the Pool of Siloam at around 4.00pm

The Coonawarra Vignerons Cup
The Coonawarra Vignerons Cup held in January brings fashion, cuisine and gives you a change to indulge in some of the nations finest wines and to enjoy the atmosphere of country racing each year at the Penola Race Course. /site/page.aspx?u=393
ARB Off-Road Pines Enduro
Held in September each year you can enjoy the excitement and action which intensifies with the roar of off-road vehicles at the annual Pines Enduro, in the Mount Burr forests just east of Millicent.
Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival
The Annual Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival held in May annually. This is a cultural delight, with the John Shaw Neilson Acquisitive Art Prize, accompanied with an exciting line-up of events, exhibitions and performances along with some of Australia's fine food and wine. /site/page.aspx?u=394
Geltwood Craft Festival and Tall Timbers Exhibition
Millicent's Geltwood Craft Festival is a weeklong event held in April. It is a celebration of quiltmaking and of the artisans in the area and provides visitors and the public with the opportunity to view a range of locally made arts and crafts which are on display in the windows or premises of local businesses. These displays, along with demonstrations and interactive workshops and a farmers market on the first sunday of the week long event, bring people from afar to enjoy this great experience.
In conjunction with this, is the Tall Timbers Exhibition. This exhibition showcases and array of talented and original woodworks in the David Harris Room at the Millicent Visitor Information Centre. Items on display are made from various types of wood, in particular the Pinus Radiata and Red Gum which are significant timbers in the area. The Tall Timbers Exhibition highlights the importance of timber to the district, and compliments the arts and crafts on display in the other businesses. There is something on offer for everyone of all ages and interests: Have a punt, enjoy the fashion and local food & wine at the many horse race meetings held throughout the year at the Penola Race Course; visit the many galleries throughout the Wattle Range Council area to view creative artworks from various travelling exhibitions. Be a part of the challenging Beachport Lions Club Salmon Fishing Competiton. Enjoy the RSL Millicent Markets Last Saturday of the Month. Indulge in cuisine and fine wines at Coonawarra After Dark, Cellar Dwellers and the Cabernet Celebrations. Enjoy the festive season with Christmas tree displays, carols by candlelight and New Years fireworks and celebrations.
Festivals and events such as these could be combined with your next conference in the area and you could take time out to extend your stay, mix business with pleasure and enjoy the variety and the excitement that there is to offer.
