Have Your SayCommunity Consultation is your opportunity to provide input on a range of Council projects and activites and to be involved in Council's decision making processes.

Future use of vacant land on Railway Terrace, Beachport

Earlier this year Council sought community comment on a proposal for the Revocation of Community Land Classification of land situated at 8 and 10 Railway Terrace, Beachport.

A report was prepared for Council regarding the feedback received and presented at the ordinary meeting of Council held on the 10 September 2019.

At this meeting it was resolved that Council take steps to examine options for the land situated at 8 and 10 Railway Terrace, Beachport (Allotments 21 and 22 D46814) and that these options should be included in the considerations for the 2020/21 budget.

Council staff will be hosting a preliminary consultation sessions and meetings to gather further community comments and views on the matter.

Interested parties are invited to meet with Council staff to express their views in one-on-one drop in sessions on:

Thursday, 31 October & Friday, 1 November 2019
from 10 am to 6.30 pm
at the Beachport Visitor Information Centre

Alternatively, written comments regarding this matter can be provided to Council by:

  • post to PO Box 27 Millicent SA 5280; or 
  • email to council@wattlerange.sa.gov.au with the subject line 'Vacant Land - Railway Terrace, Beachport'.

Customer Experience Policy and Procedures

Council is undertaking a review of its Compliments & Complaints Handling Policy; Request for Service Policy and Internal Review of Council Decisions Policy. Council is proposing to amend these documents into the following structure:

The general public are invited to submit their written feedback regarding the proposed documents to Council by 5pm on 1 November 2019

Submissions can be sent to Wattle Range Council by:

  • post to PO Box 27 Millicent SA 5280; or 
  • emailed to council@wattlerange.sa.gov.au with the subject line 'Customer Experience Policy & Procedures Submission'.  

Submissions received may be made publicly available through their inclusion in the agenda papers for a Council Meeting.

Category 3 Development Public Notfication

Due to their nature, some types of development proposals require public notification. This allows people likely to be affected by the development the opportunity to comment.

Any application(s) currently on public notification are available to view here and anyone wishing to make representation to Council should do so in writing by the closing dates shown on the notice.

Nangwarry Pool Community Vision

The Nangwarry community have started brainstorming ideas for a 10 year master plan for the pool.  We welcome your suggestions by email to engineering@wattlerange.sa.gov.au.

Penola Town Square Project

The Penola Town Square is an ongoing project being progressed by Wattle Range Council and members of the Penola community. 

A community based consultation group has been formed to further develop a vision for the square considering the needs and desires of the future users of the space.
