Wattle Range Council residents and visitors to the region now have access to oodles of local information at the touch of a button.
A collaborative initiative of the Local Government Association of South Australia and multiple SA Councils the My Local Services smart phone ‘app’ provides users with the ability to access relevant information based on their location.
Featuring local events and services, parks and playgrounds, information about local Elected Members and Council issues, the app can even remind you with when to put the bin out.
Undoubtedly the most impressive feature of this smartphone app is the reporting function. This function allows you to take a photo of an issue with your phone, pinpoint the exact location you are in and add in any additional information you feel is relevant. It enables residents to report problems on the spot and in turn should result in the timely resolution of matters.
Mayor Peter Gandolfi has welcomed the launch of this new app, stating “it puts the answers to commonly asked questions at your fingertips. Not only can local residents check when the library is open or which bin they should be putting out, but visitors to our area can also see what’s on and exactly what Wattle Range has to offer.”
The app is available for both iPhone and Android devices and can be downloaded here
