Wattle Range Council has committed funding in its current budget to plan for and begin work on a shopping precinct rejuvenation for the Millicent township.
“Initial meetings have been held with shop traders and building owners in the town’s main street to gather ideas and concepts for consideration” Council’s Director Development Services, Steve Chapple explained.
Council is now seeking feedback from the community of Millicent and surrounds on their views for the future of this central area.
“In the next step for the process, the public are now invited to attend a meeting for the Millicent Main Street Shopping Precinct Rejuvenation Initiative which will be held at the Millicent Civic & Arts Centre on the evening of Wednesday, 30 January 2019 from 6pm to 8pm.
“We encourage everyone to bring along their ideas and suggestions to the public forum” Mr Chapple said.
A light supper will be provided. To assist with seating and catering please participants are asked to register their attendance with Sarah Marzec, Community Development Officer on 8733 0900 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
